Why New Moms Need Travel Changing Pads

Author: Katie Willis

Are you a planning to gift a new born? Or are you a new mom? In any case, a travel changing pad is going to be of great use to you.

For Gifting

If you are going to gift a new born baby, opt for these easy and fun travel changing pads – they are of great help to the parents. Most new parents have to rush back to work after a few days or weeks of their baby's delivery. And most of these new parents would want to carry their baby along with them wherever they go instead of leaving the baby with a nanny.

And you can make them happy by gifting a set of travel changing pads and travel towel kits – these are great gift ideas for babies. Gifting toys and clothes is something that everyone thinks of. Besides they are not of much use. If you want to gift something unique and yet useful, a set of travel changing pad is one you should think of. It will not only be a gift for the baby, but also for the new mom.

By gifting this to the baby, you will win gratefulness of the parents as it is they who will benefit a lot from it. You can either buy them or you can even make them at home.

For the New Mom

Being a new mother is a matter of unmatched happiness. But every pleasure has its price and so does this. Handling your new baby with care is your responsibility and the hassle and trouble after motherhood is the pleasurable pain. For new mothers, one product that can alley much of their pain is the travel changing pad. This is a must have for new mothers, especially those who go to work.

You can carry your child with you and change his/her diapers easily with the help of this. Carry a set of these pads and a set of wet towels to wipe your baby with and your job is done. Choose pads that are soft on the side that will be in contact with your child's skin. Its best to choose hand spun cotton. For the other side, you can use nice and stylish printed fabric, preferably cotton.

Choose a size that would be comfortable for your baby to move in but also keep in mind the fact that you have to wrap it in your baby's diaper bag and carry it every day. These pads will save you a lot of time and energy and hassle. Feeding your baby at work or during travel is not so difficult as it is to clean him. Using these pads will make you free of care and worry.

Buying or Making

You can either buy these or make them at home. While buying, pay attention to the material used. Remember it is for baby's skin which is 7% softer than an adult's. Rough clothes can cause rashes. If you are making these, you can even use scrap clothes if they are okay for baby's use. Pin up the two sides before you stitch. This will ensure proper stitching.

Check the stitches if you use a machine. Make double stitches for safety. Pull and see if the stitch holds well. Do this while buying as well. Use matching coloured ribbons to tie up the pads. Buying or making, this is one of the unique baby shower gift ideas.

Quality Paper Towels and Bathroom Tissues

Author: Loren Yadeski

If you are looking for quality paper towels and bathroom tissues, then you should purchase the following products. For paper towels: hard roll towels, perforated roll towels, folded paper towels, c-fold towels, kitchen roll paper towels, singlefold towels, multifold towels, protector towels, and scottfold towels. For bathroom tissues: bath tissue 1 ply, bat tissue 2 ply, hygienic 1 and 2 ply, coreless bath tissue, JRT 1 and 2 ply, Scott coreless JRT, and personal seats.

There are many brands of hard roll towels. But all of them would offer you similar services. Most of them are of premium performance even in a high capacity environment. They deliver high drying efficiency and reduce your maintenance time due to its ultra-high capacity. But if you want better, you could purchase perforated roll towels or premiere roll towels. These towels are distinguished from the rest due to their softness, hand drying power, and wiping efficiency which makes them preferred more by consumers. But dont be fooled by the softness of these towels, they are strong and durable. They are of high absorbance efficiency even if it is 1 ply. They are tough enough to handle tasks that require scrubbing but are soft enough for hand drying purposes. Scottfold towels are made to eliminate dispensing problems. It is designed to dispense one at a time, each time. These towels could eliminate tear-out and messy towel litter. If you are rather looking specifically for fiber products, then better purchase a traditional C-fold towel. They are green seal certified towels for skin and other related uses. These towels are made from 100% recycled fiber. They meet stringent EPA standards for such materials. If you have kitchen tasks, then you should have kitchen roll towels. These towels offer more sheets on a roll for longer usage. But these sheets are contained on a small case of easier handling and storage. They are made with absorbency pockets for a quality performance in absorbing spills and performing clean ups.

For your toilet needs, then you should have bathroom tissues. Most bath tissue, 1 or 2 ply, meet the EPA standards for minimum post consumer waste count. You could also opt to have the hygienic versions which have the standard softness of absorbance like other quality tissues. They are designed to reduce costs, waste, and health concerns. These tissues directly aim to solve the concerns for a healthier restroom environment. These tissues come in a fully closed system to prevent potential product contamination. You could have the JRT tissue roll if you are practical. One roll of this would correspond to nearly 5 standard rolls. This system is very ideal for those areas with high traffic for it reduces the need of re-fills by lessening run-outs. Like other tissues, it meets the EPA standards for minimum post consumer waste content. It guarantees to provide you the best service a toilet paper could give.

So for your cleaning needs, you should purchase quality and reliable products so that you would experience no problem.

Light Weight Towels: A Must Have In A Backpacking Checklist

Author: George Wheeler

If you are going for a backpacking tour, the first thing you need to consider is that the luggage to be carried should be light. At the same time, you should not be compromising on the essential things that you need to carry. As you will have a single pack on your back, you will want to carry as many things as possible in the limited amount of space available. So, while preparing your backpacking checklist, make sure that you choose the items that are lightweight but serve the same purpose as their heavier counterparts.

While packing your backpack, you will find that one of the items that consumes a lot of space is a towel. However, you can easily avoid carrying bulky towels by switching to light load ones. Whether it is a beach towel or a hand towel, there are lightload towels available that are extremely small in size and can be converted into full size towels when they have to be used. These towels are not only light in weight but also save a lot of space in your suitcase, RV or backpack. You can keep them in your pockets and still have space for your money and keys.

This feature makes them an essential travel accessory for outdoor camping. These towels can also be used as wind scarves, fire starters, bug repellants, insulators, sun blocks, masks and strainers. To deal with emergency situations, people can also include them in their toilet kits, first aid kits, cars, boats, hunting gear, camping equipment or hiking gear. Since you will not need to buy a separate first aid cloth, wind scarf or fire starter when you use a light load towel, you also end up saving a lot of money, space and weight.

Lightload towels are an indispensable part of a backpacking checklist because of their numerous advantages. Some of the major advantages that these towels have over regular cotton towels are:

·                  Lightload towels are more absorbent when compared to cotton towels.

·                  These are the only full size beach towels that can fit easily into a person’s pocket.

·                  These towels can be used to serve more purposes than a traditional cotton towel.

·                  They are very easy to store and consume lesser space than cotton towels.

·                  They can sometimes be bigger than cotton towels.

Because these towels are extremely cost effective and cheap, they can easily be used and thrown away if you do not want to carry the extra burden of a towel once it has been soiled. If you do not want to waste them, you can wash them and reuse them for a number of times. At the end of the trip, you can discard them off so that you do not need to carry back the burden.

You also do not need to worry about drying light load towels because after washing, they dry up very easily and quickly. It is a product which is biodegradable and does break down in the environment rapidly. The towel can also be burned thus you do not need to worry about any after effects, once it is thrown off. All these reasons make light load towels one of the most favorable options that need to be ticked off as you prepare your backpacking checklist.

Learn about travel health risks

Author: Anthony Delar

People today have gone into a habit of holidaying into different places all over the world. With the increasing travelling of people to different parts of the world, a new addition has been observed in terms of people's health. Although travelling has become more convenient and easier in this modern era, the health risks related to travelling are also becoming conveniently severe. Many people have been observed to fall sick or contract severe health conditions such as malaria or traveller's diarrhoea. These health conditions are the two most common conditions that can be associated with travelling. Of these two conditions, traveller's diarrhoea is more common and is known to affect approximately 20% to 30% of the people travelling around.

What is malaria?

Malaria is a disease caused by a parasite known as plasmodium, which is a single cell organism, found to be living in the anopheles species of the mosquitoes. This parasite is carried by the female anopheles mosquito and is likely to contract the disease on getting bitten by the mosquito. Once you have acquired the parasite through a bite, it travels through your bloodstream towards the liver. On the way to your liver, this parasite invades your red blood cells, causing them to burst and infect your system. When the red blood cells burst and infect your system, it causes high fever and in some cases is also known to cause death of a person.

Four different types of malaria parasite are known to affect humans, which include plasmodium falciparum, plasmodium ovale, plasmodium malariae and plasmodium vivax. Of these four types of malaria parasite, the falciparum one is the most dangerous one. The other three parasites are comparatively less dangerous and cause less discomfort in you. In the initial stage, the symptoms of malaria are quite similar to that of flu. Because of this many a times it becomes difficult to diagnose whether a person is suffering from malaria or not. Some of the common symptoms of malaria include fever, chills, shakes, headaches, muscle ache, fatigue, nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea. If you are suffering from falciparum, you are likely to suffer experience symptoms such as kidney failure, seizures, mental confusion and coma.

What is travellers' diarrhoea?

Travellers' diarrhoea is quite common among people and tends to affect people who have travelled in areas such as Asia, Middle East, Africa, Mexico or Central and South America. It usually affects people mostly during the first two weeks of their stay in these areas or countries. This disease does not result into long lasting effects and people usually recover within a time span of about three to five days. It can cause dehydration and loss of valuable minerals and salts, which are also known as electrolytes. The risk of diarrhoea is higher based on what part of the world you are. It mostly depends on the level of sanitary and other hygiene standards, whether they are high or not. You are at a higher risk of contracting this bacterium if you are travelling to a warmer region and are never exposed to the bacterium before.

10 Travel Packing Tips for Carry-on Only Traveling

Author: Packing Secrets

1. Find Out The Largest-Size Carry-On Luggage You're Aloud and Buy It

Although you want to significantly cut down on the amount of luggage you take, you should still take advantage of the maximum size carry on luggage you can take. Find out what the average carry on allowance is and buy an new bag to fit those dimensions.

2. Wear Your Heaviest/Bulkiest Items

Ok, so it's an obvious point, but if you're taking some bulky items, such as a thick coat, or walking boots, wear them on the plane and free up as much valuable space in your carry on luggage as possible.

3. Create A Packing List -- And Ruthlessly Edit

It This is something you can perfect over time. Basically, every time you go abroad create a packing list. Then, when you come home and unpack make a note of everything you didn't use. Then cross them off the list for next time!

4. Plan To Buy Things At Your Destination

Remember, most destinations will have places you can buy the basics you need to get you by. Need a smarter shirt for an unplanned trip to a fancy restaurant, just buy one at a local store. You'll also be able to discard these items if you need to before you leave.

5. Decant Toiletries Into Smaller Bottles

For your essential toiletries, do away with the bumper family size bottles and decant rations into smaller bottles. Not only will you save space, but also a lot of weight. And remember the point above -- if you run out you can always buy some more.

6. Roll Your Clothes

It's an old trick but an effective one. Rolling your clothes makes them easier to pack down into the corners of your carry on, plus it can help you avoid the creases created by folding.

7. Wear Clothing With Lots Of Pockets

Remember, you don't need to carry everything in your luggage. Wearing clothing with extra pockets, such as cargo pants, or those vests that professional photographers wear, you can carry many smaller items and leave space for the bigger stuff in your luggage.

8. Buy Speciality Travel Clothing That Converts

Now you can buy items of clothing specifically designed for travelers. Usually travel clothing has features such as being light-weight, breathable and none-creasing and quick drying, but you can also find clothing that is convertible. Trousers that turn into shorts, or long sleeved items that become short sleeved. By making your clothing work twice as hard, you can save twice as much space.

9. Buy Speciality Travel Products Designed To Be Compact

Aswell as clothing designed for traveling, you can find all manner of accessories that have been designed for traveling and to be compact. For example a travel towel can be a quarter of the size of a traditional towel.

10. Ask Others For Their Tips

If you see someone breezing through check in with just one bag, stop them and ask them how they do it. Most people love to show off how clever and travel-savvy they are, so they'll be happy to share their wisdom with you!

Yoga Towel – hot new alternative to an expensive mat. Yoga towels are becoming increasingly popular in the Yoga community, providing an absorbent, safe, non-skid practice surface and many other benefits at an affordable price. Travel Shoulder Bag-A Travel Shoulder Bag Let's you GO Anywhere!

Are you an adventurous traveler? Do you Love a remote vacation - Maybe even a safari?

If you do then you'll love a Travel Shoulder Bag!

What's the BEST Travel Shoulder Bag?

The One That Goes Everywhere!

sony ericsson softwares

Travel Shoulder Bag-Buy Travel Shoulder Bag For Your Next Vacation!

Here we are again, planning our yearly vacation! Not the one where we are only gone for a quick trip to Las Vegas. The one where we get to go for long enough to actually de-stress. Yes, THAT vacation!

Our destination timeline is February 2011. It may seem like a ways away, but this is the best time to shop for travel shoulder bags and even travel bargains on potential flights.

Travel Shoulder bags are the best choice when you plan on walking, want to have a spare set of goodies in case your bags get lost or are delayed in transit and you don't have a spare set of clothes (I know, the famous "delayed" baggage episode that either ruins your plans or makes for an interesting wardrobe!).

Since we are always leaving a cold place for a warmer place, I dress in 3 layers, with swimsuit and sunglasses packed inside my travel toiletry bag plus a change of clothes in my travel shoulder bag as carry-on.

Once we arrive, I have a clean change spare in my travel shoulder bag, plus anything I might need for the first 2-3 days. Unless we are on a cruise and I needed the formal I have packed, I could probably get by without anything else.

Bonus-I have a travel shoulder bag to use when we go out snooping around, and it easily carries a towel too! I also have three interchangeable outfits because I dressed in layers that mix and match.

Travel Shoulder Bag-Travel Tips

Here are some travel tips that took me years to learn:

Tip: If you don't have it when you get where you are going then either 1) You didn't need it OR 2) You can get another one there.

Travel - whether business or pleasure - is designed to have built in fun and down time - just by the very nature of the word itself. So, in your planning what to put in your Travel shoulder bag phase remember to grab sunscreen and BREATHE!

Post your itinerary a couple places in the house so that if you have an emergency you are easy to contact - by the phone and with a family member.

Tip: Make sure if you have pets that those care givers also get an itinerary copy with hotel and destination contact information. Pets can need emergency care while you are away and returning home to find a beloved pet that needed emergency care or had to be put down is devastating.

Travel Shoulder Bag - Wow What a choice you have! Short strap, long strap, over the shoulder, backpack style, handbag convertible, expandable, combination shoulder and pack or shoulder and fanny pack, gear bag, courier bag, there is an unlimited selection!

And those are only a partial list of the different types. Just wait until you see the material choices and brand style choices! I must have four of my own in the closet. My husband has one. His never goes out of style or needs to be replaced. It reminds me of the newer line of vintage cases that came out in 2009.

Baggallini is one of the more affordable travel shoulder bags. One Baggallini travel bag often takes the place of two of my cosmetic travel bags. This brand always creates such a traditional soft style with weatherproofing materials and sturdy, lots of pockets design. I think I like it best, but have other favorites, too.

My Travel Shoulder Bag picks depend on what location we travel to, and our plans for what we are doing once we get there.

Tip: Bring along a small hand (Pocket) diary to jot down your vacation or travel notes with. If you are making a vacation video you'll be happy to have these recounts to talk about on the video itself - Audio or PowerPoint slides really add to a vacation video.

Tip: Pack an extra (empty) Travel Shoulder Bag in your travel luggage so that you can use it to bring back special souvenirs in.

Tip: One pair of Comfortable Shoes, and one pair of Sandals will get you into (and out of ) most occasions, unless you need to dress formally in tux and ball gown. Leave the shoe selection in your closet. People are so funny when they go on vacation they want to bring the house with them. Get over it.

Tip: Pack snacks and bottled water for unplanned delays, layovers, missed flights, cranky kids, cranky parents, and all other unplanned events.

Tip: I've read that dried, tart cherries are best for regulating your sleep-wake cycles over the duration of a long flight. It helps you in adjusting to the time zone differences and a harried flight schedule. We tried it with two other couples we were going with on our way from Calgary B.C. to Hualtulco, Mexico, and are happy to report from all parties that it works well!

Tip: Don't take a bunch of scenery pictures, buy postcards instead. Vacation Postcards last longer, wear better and make the perfect scrapbook addition!

Travel Shoulder Bag-Plan Ahead, Avoid Bad Stuff!

The planning stage is about the time I start "shoulding" all over myself too.

Do you do that? I should __________ you fill in the blank.

Grandma called it, "needless worry,' and mom referred to it as significant as, "a pimple on a dimple on a microbes butt."

Travel Shoulder Bag-Most Remembered Tip

Whichever travel shoulder bag you choose, pack well, pack ahead and pack often!  Fill your walk of life with so many memories that you spend the rest of your days re-telling them!

Take Those Little Extra Things Camping

Author: Tina

We all like to be comfortable and have everything required when we go camping and take those little extra things to make a difference. Here is some ideas that may help, use this list  as a guide. Probably you are taking some of these items already. There maybe something on this list that you will find useful. and add it to your camping kit for next time.

Tarp & rope for sun, wind or rain protection

Binoculars   Compass (so there is no debate about which way is N S E W)

Hand towel   Chux   Disposable wipes   Paper towel

Collapsible bucket instead of taking a plastic bucket

Small mirror   Travel clock   Radio

Small shovel for moving hot coals or digging eg. bush toilet

Small rake for clearing camping site

Toiletries - everyone has own bag, toothpaste, shampoos etc

Toilet paper - not always available at campsites

Heat proof glove or thick towel for removing cooking pots from campfire

Campfire hook for moving campoven or pots - can be made easily by getting a strong metal tent peg and taping the straight end tightly onto a straight stick, have the stick as short or long as you want it

Card games like Uno, board games etc

Glow sticks for kids to play with at night

Screen Tent to be able to get away from pesty flys while eating

Sun hat and a hat for warmth

Insect repellent for yourself or surface spray for outside areas

Stubby holders (also good for protecting breakables)

Lip balm   Moisturizer    Eye drops   Nail scissors

Sunglasses    Reading Glasses

Keep matches dry and take an old newspaper for starting fire

Ziplock bags have many uses

Repairs - Cable ties    Duct tape   Gaffa tape

Vacuum seal meat to stop oozing in fridge or cooler (some butchers will do this)

Multi tool pocket knife   Can & Bottle Opener

Reusable Drink bottles    Travel mugs

Spare bags for laundry and rubbish

Comfortable Chairs

Books & magazines   Note pad & pen

Door mat for tent - can be a hessian bag or carpet / rubber  mat

Instructions for tent or equipment if it’s new

Small table to use for snacks, drinks and games

Torch for each person

Rubber backed Picnic Rug

A large strong metal bucket or similar filled with water put next to the campfire and you will always have warm water for washing.

A good thing to do is to keep as much of your camping equipment together at home, so it is much easier each time you prepare to go camping. Each time you go camping add something to your camping kit, so you are not using your everyday items from your home  eg.  go to a bargain shop and buy some cheap cutlery, plates cups and put them in your camping kit. Over a few years you will have a complete spare of everything ready to go anytime.

Have you forgotten to take something important when you have gone camping or have a suggestion to add to this list for other campers?

Disney World Orlando Florida & John Allsopp

Author: John Allsopp

Disney-Allsopp, Allsopp is synonymous with Walt's great place, the happiest place on earth, it's called Disney World, Orlando Florida. Ask anyone who knows me and they'll say Oh John he is a Disney fanatic, he must be he reads so much about Disney and he has traveled there many times, well who am I to disagree with such heart felt comments?

It's the little things that make Disney feel like never never land, such as the street monuments crafted like a bucket and a mop, as seen in Disney fantasia, I love these and I like to hear the little ones giggle when looking at them. Those are the best memories I take away from the happiest place on earth.

I do love Mickey Mouse and his antics, he is one of the most articulated characters you will meet in Disney, on a dull day, I pull out my pictures taken in Disney, and they make me smile! They will have this affect on you too; you just need to sprinkle some fairy dust.

Fairy dust is kept in special containers all over Disney World, how you get to it I hear you say, well the dust is already in your head just think wow! When you walk through the gates at Disney, and make a wish, something like I wish I wish upon a star and next to no time your own dust will be ready for you to use, you just need to look and listen at the rides and experiences, and wow you will get the most out of your Disney experience.

I love the carefully crafted towels and face clothes, which your Disney cleaning staff will create for you; it is amazing how they make a towel look like a dog complete with floppy ears and wet nose. I often wonder when looking at these delightful sculptures, do the cleaners go through the same process, does Disney sprinkle fairy dust on their cast members?

Great fun is the description I would label Disney, but remember you will only get out of Disney what you put in, like all things in life. Go to Disney with an open mind, look at what you are met with, the buildings, the street sculptures, the shops, the stalls, oh the list just goes on and on, it is an amazing place.

Sit and relax, watch the Disney World go by, smell that infectious memory of pure fun you had when you were a child, many senior citizens look completely over whelmed, I know I have asked them. I stand in line with people of all ages and from all corners of the world, our older brothers and sisters will tell you, oh we just love Disney. Would you believe it? Our elders will queue and wait in line for rides such as Space Mountain, or Thunder Mountain, Splash Mountain, they love it, not all of course, and some due to the aging process or health problems leave these out, wise choice.

Wise choice indeed, I no longer ride fast exciting attractions, it's the blood pressure you know it has this strange affect on you, not dissimilar to the affect of fairy dust, which I have talked about earlier. You just need to take your time in Disney if you are a little unsteady nowadays. Having said that I see inspiring children walking with crutches, some in wheel chairs, some blind. Oh my god imagine being a child who is blind, and yet the human spirit shines through these children, they have a whale of a time in Disney.
